Current availability: none, with enthusiasm
Four rooms. Zero openings. One mouse.
Reservations are recommended, which is lucky, because we are not taking them. If a room says sold out, it is sold out. If it says under construction, it is also sold out, plus there may be a ladder.
Under construction
Total Eclipse of the Heartworm
Our famous dark room. You wear night-vision goggles and solve the room by not panicking and also by reading the clues, which are invisible on purpose. Groups have tried. Groups have not escaped. The goggles fog if you have feelings.
Status note from Marcia: the goggles are in a box. The box is in the dark. We are looking for the box with a smaller flashlight, which feels like cheating, but it is our building.
Sold out
Nine Lives, Eight Clues
Eight clues would be plenty if anyone used the first one. This room is a locked study with too many bottles and one honest key. It is booked through the end of the dog-show season. Do not ask me to move a birthday. I tried. The lock did not care.
Sold out
Tiny House, Big Dark
A small room for people who say they are fine in small rooms and then are not. A previous guest stayed more than an hour, did not escape, and had a cry about it. We are not taking notes on that guest. She may have a free hint next time if she asks out loud.
Under construction
Whisker Lock
Padlock, key, mouse, grand opening postponed until the hardware reconciles. You may look at the key on this website. Looking at the key is not the same as booking the room. I have checked with the mouse.
Not a room
The Alley
Behind the building, on the park side. Staff entrance only. It is not a drop box, a meeting point, or a scenic overlook. If you leave a bag, the raccoon will incorporate it. He is not an employee. He does not give refunds.
Always open, regrettably
The Lobby
A bench, a poster, and the sound of Marcia answering the bakery phone by mistake. Free. You cannot win the lobby. You can sit until your group admits the other rooms are closed and suggests pastries instead.
Unsolicited, but printed.
"I thought it would be fun, and then I was in there, and then I was still in there." — a guest who photographed the sign on the way in
"We did the dark one. The goggles are hard to see out of. We did not escape. We did clap for ourselves, which the room did not require." — a group of friends
"I tried to bring my Pomeranian. I was reminded, by me, that dogs are not allowed. She is still talking about it." — the owner
